Get Your Wireless ID and Configure Your Machine
To use OSU Wireless, you will need to have an OSU Wireless ID and Password and your laptop must be properly configured. If you have not activated your Wireless ID or configured your machine, you can do so by going to http://wireless.osu.edu/connect.html and following the instructions.
The OSU Wireless ID is similar to your OSU Name.# account except that it has a "W" on the end and the password is different. Using this ID and PIN, you can authenticate on the wireless network just like you do on the wired network in your room.
All you need to connect with OSU Wireless is a laptop (or other wireless device) with a wireless network card (most laptops purchased in the last year already have one).
Many locations on campus offer wireless, including the new recreational facility (RPAC), Campus Dining locations, and Ohio Union. Look for the Wireless Spot signs around campus for additional OSU Wireless locations.
