Free Virus Scan Software for OSU Students

All students using ResNet need up-to-date virus checking software.  OSU provides free software for OSU students, faculty, and staff. 

To download the software go here.

Click the blue 'windows' or 'macintosh' tab at the top of the page.

  • Windows XP/2000 users should download VirusScan8.
  • Windows 95/98 should download VirusScan 4.51.
  • Macintosh users should download Virex/OSX.
